Her ability to stay composed under pressure, collaborate across teams, and focus on what really matters to customers makes her a true example of what it means to be a Connection Expert.

Q: What do you enjoy most about connecting with customers in your role?

Rebecca: What I enjoy most about connecting with our customers is the opportunity to build genuine relationships and understand what truly matters to them and the service. Every conversation gives me insight into their challenges, goals and needs, which allows me to provide solutions that make a real difference. I find it rewarding when our customers feel heard and supported – it turns a simple interaction into a partnership. Those moments of trust and collaboration are what make my role so meaningful.

Q: Can you share an example of a time you made a meaningful difference for a customer?

Rebecca: One example of when I made a meaningful difference for a customer was during our recent transition to a new technology platform provider. As I manage our outbound campaigns, I often handle urgent customer requests, but this change required an exceptional level of coordination under very tight deadlines.

Several customers needed their campaigns rebuilt and relaunched with minimal notice. I worked closely with them throughout the transition – clarifying requirements, prioritising workloads, and proactively communicating progress to keep everything on track. Despite the challenging timescales, I ensured their campaigns were up and running in time, with no disruption to their operations.

The feedback we received highlighted how much they valued the support and partnership during a period of change. By staying calm under pressure, being flexible, and maintaining strong communication, I was able to make a real difference to their experience and help them feel confident throughout the transition.

Q: What strategies or habits help you maintain a consistently high level of customer service?

Rebecca: To maintain a consistently high level of customer service, I rely on a few key strategies and habits. I make sure to actively listen to our customers to fully understand their needs before offering a solution. Ensuring I have clear communication, set realistic expectations and keep our customers informed at every stage, which prevents any shocks and surprises and strengthens confidence.

When communicating with our customers, I proactively problem solve; anticipating any potential issues and address them early where possible, turning challenges into opportunities for positive experiences. As well as this, continuous learning and developing helps me stay updated on processes and best practices so I can provide informed guidance and adapt to our customers changing needs.

Q: How do you stay empathetic and customer-focused, even in challenging situations?

Rebecca: This can be tricky! What I do is remember that behind every challenging situation or request, is a real person and they have their own pressures, deadlines and expectations. Even in last minute requests, campaigns or changes, I focus on understanding why the customer needs something and how it impacts them, our relationship and ultimately, their business and operations. I remember why we do this – to help others.

I remain calm under pressure, always remain professional, and manage expectations clearly. Keeping the bigger picture in mind helps!

Q: What role do collaboration and teamwork play in delivering great customer experiences?

Rebecca: They are an essential role to delivering great customer experiences as we can’t do everything alone! When we share information, align our priorities and support each other, our customer feels the benefits of that. I believe everyone has different skill sets and brings something unique to the table, so when we work collaboratively and as part of a team, those skill sets can come together and ensure we do our best for our customers. Teamwork also allows us to problem solve and think creatively. Different perspectives can often lead to better solutions, help minimise risks and ultimately deliver results that exceed our customers’ expectations.

Q: What advice would you give to others looking to excel in customer experience roles?

Rebecca: My advice for anyone looking to excel in customer experience roles is, to understand your customers goals, pressures and expectations which allows you to tailor your support in a way that is personal, meaningful and proactive. You must remember to be clear, communicate effectively and stay adaptable – customer needs can change quickly and being able to adjust your approach helps deliver the best outcomes (even under tight deadlines!). Embrace teamwork as well – we always like to shine individually however, working as a team and sharing knowledge and skills, support our customer’s needs in a way that matters.

Q: In your opinion, what makes someone a true Connection Expert?

Rebecca: In my opinion, a true connection expert is someone who understands that every interaction is an opportunity to build trust, add value, and strengthen a relationship. It’s less about simply providing a service and more about creating a genuine human connection. A true connection expert will adapt and remain flexible, fully understanding the customer’s wants and needs and taking ownership of tasks. They build trust through consistency, empathy, partnership, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

A true Connection Expert creates a positive experience, not just by what they deliver, but by how they deliver it!

As our CX – Connection Experts series continues, we’re proud to share stories like Rebecca’s – showing how clarity, teamwork, and genuine care help turn challenges into positive customer experiences at ArvatoConnect.
